ATD-TH50 C-NCAP

MODEL DESCRIPTION

In 2025 China New Car Assessment Program (C-NCAP) will carry out a new virtual assessment of the active and passive out-of-position. Therefore, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) has specified new validation requirements for the Finite Element (FE) dummy model THOR-50M, which also takes into account the assessment of the braking phase in a virtual frontal impact test. In order to comply with the required dummy validation certification ATD-MODELS GmbH developed a new C-NCAP version.  

The ATD-TH50 C-NCAP is based on the ATD-TH50. The FE Model contains modifications to the THOR 50 % to fulfil certain bio-fidelity criteria for the head excursion caused by the load case during braking phase of a frontal crash.
