Mechanical Engineering

CAE simulation is an indispensable tool in modern mechanical engineering. It allows the behaviour of components and systems to be analysed in real conditions, eliminating the need for expensive and time-consuming physical prototypes.

The simulation enables precise mapping and evaluation of load cases such as static loads, dynamic vibrations and thermal influences. This leads to a significant reduction in development times, an increase in product quality and a reduction in material and manufacturing costs.

Typical Load Cases

Our solutions cover a wide range of possible applications.

Examples:

  • Structural loads such as static, dynamic and cyclic loads
  • Thermal influences, e.g. heating, cooling or temperature gradients
  • Investigation of flow, friction and pressure losses as well as heat transfer
  • Multiphysical couplings, e.g. in the case of simultaneous mechanical, thermal and fluid dynamic stress
  • Non-linear effects, e.g. plasticity due to contact or large deformations

CAE Methods

We use the following CAE methods to map load cases:

  • Finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Multi-body dynamics (MKS)
  • Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
  • Optimisation and sensitivity analyses
  • We also use our own multiphysical calculation methods.
