CDH/OPTRAN V6.3.1

Dear OPTRAN user,

We are pleased to inform you that CDH/OPTRAN Version 6.3.1 is now available.

The latest CDH/OPTRAN release version offers the following new features and corrections:

1. Enhancements:

• Performance enhancement for random analysis with a large number 
  of sub-cases in combination with enforced motion excitation (SPCD 
  loading at many DOFs). 

2. Bug-Fixes:

• Bug fix for NX-Nastran 2512 with Panel Participation Factors using 
  PANEL=(n,m) request for acoustic pressure response  
• Bug fix for NX-Nastran 2512 in element force calculation for CVISC 
  element 
• Improved image size of png output for structural mode participation 
  factors (smpf) 
• Bug fix for Optran 6.3 with NX-Nastran in AMLS fluid phase using 2 
  AMLS licenses instead of 1 license 
• Bug fix for SPCD enforced motion of type ACCE applied at a large 
  number of DOFs giving incorrect results 

3. Supported Nastran versions and CDH Software:

MSC Nastran
MSC Nastran Versions 2021.4, 2022.3, 2022.4, 2023.4, 2024.1, 2024.2, 2025.1, 2025.2

Simcenter Nastran
NX/SC Nastran Versions: 2206.1, 2412, 2512

CDH Software
CDH/AMLS Version 5.3 r274
CDH/FastFRS Version 2.3 r274

Operating System
RHEL/Rocky 8+ (or binary compatible distributions like Rocky)

4. Cautions – end of support warnings:

• In future releases only the latest sub-version of older Nastran releases will be supported by OPTRAN. For example, for MSC 2022.1 – 2022.4, only the latest sub-version MSC 2022.4 will officially be supported. Please upgrade to these Nastran versions accordingly.
• This is the last OPTRAN release that officially supports MSC Nastran 2021.4 by default.
