CDH/OPTRAN V6.2

Dear OPTRAN user,

We are pleased to inform you that CDH/OPTRAN Version 6.2 is now available.

The latest CDH/OPTRAN release version offers the following new features and corrections:

1. Enhancements:

• Added support for MSC Nastran 2025.2
• Added support for Simcenter Nastran 2206.1 and 2412 for structure-only analyses (support of fluid-structure analyses is scheduled for the next release)
• New feature ADSTIFF for calculating averaged dynamic stiffness

2. Bug-Fixes:

A few minor bug fixes have been made.

3. Supported Nastran versions and CDH Software:

MSC Nastran
MSC Nastran Versions 2021.4, 2022.3, 2022.4, 2023.4, 2024.1, 2024.2, 2025.1, 2025.2

Simcenter Nastran
NX/SC Nastran Versions: 2206.1, 2412 (structural analysis only)

CDH Software
CDH/AMLS Version 5.3 r274
CDH/FastFRS Version 2.3 r274

Operating System
RHEL/Rocky 8+ (or binary compatible distributions like Rocky)

4. Cautions – end of support warnings:

• In future releases only the latest sub-version of older Nastran releases will be supported by OPTRAN. For example, for MSC 2022.1 – 2022.4, only the latest sub-version MSC 2022.4 will officially be supported. Please upgrade to these Nastran versions accordingly.
• This is the last OPTRAN release that officially supports MSC Nastran 2021.4 by default.
